When we get there, instead of trying to fight with that frame, just switch to another topic altogether. It can be a tangentially related topic, or a completely different topic. That would ruin their show. They need to move on and keep the show &#8220;flowing&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>To the interviewer, and maybe to listener who are paying very close attention, the interview can come across as detached and clearly trying to avoid the topics. They could come off from the interview thinking that we are dumb, that we didn&#8217;t understand the question, etc. But the vast majority of the listeners are only paying light attention to the show. They have it on and are driving, doing chores, studying. And as long  as the show just flows, they will follow the flow of the conversation.
