I dreamt that I was aboard a US aircraft carrier.. maybe as part of an invasion force? Into Vietnam? Immediartely after waking up, I thoguht it was Vietnam. But maybe it was Iran?

The aircradft carrier was WAY too close to the shores, because we had destroyed their missiles already. So the ship kept getting closer to the shores, super close, then fire rounds (like a battleship?), destroying civilian buildings. It was like a forest of buildings, it was very tall and a lot of buildings clustered together. You could see each building clearly, like manhattan. But then vietnamese soldiers would emerge from the mountains and bunkers (and buildings?) and fired bazookas and other mobile artillery/missiles at us, and the aircraft carrier would pull back in full speed.

Then they dispatched about 10 of us in a small boat to a village by the shore.. to kill civilians? not sure why. I was either scared or crying out of fear and telling other soldiers “guys we need to retreat, we are outnubered here”. Then one by one we found each of the soldiers in our group dead in a corner in the village and the vietnamese soldiers chased us as we pulled away in our slow boat by all five of us pushing the boat with flutter kick swiming.

Then I woke up with my nose super clogged and struggling to breathe.

What a scary and sad dream.
