I had a strange dream. In the dream, we were a family of four traveling, but I didn’t look like me; I looked like my dad, and Christine was there nut she looked like a random wife.
We were traveling. We landed in a smaller city for an Airbnb and then planned to drive further south to another city, then another one, and then return. We were in our first city. Wait, maybe it wasn’t four; it was two dogs, two little puppies.
We were checking out, and I was looking up directions. I thought, “Oh my God, it takes like three or four hours to get there. It’s so long. Why did I do this? The host was there, giving us some treats, some dessert, and also some treats for the dogs. I took a nap. Later, about half an hour after we were packing, we found the smaller dog—the younger sibling dog—had fallen asleep like this, and it was dead. My wife came out and was like, “Oh, the heart is not beating.” I was like, “Oh, what the heck?” You heard a dead dog? Yeah, but at some point in the dream, it became the song. Oh my god. But it started as a dog.
We were like, “Oh, that’s sad, but also it looks like he died happy with a little smile, with his full belly from the dessert.” Oh god. And we were like, “Oh well.” We continued looking. The older son/puppy was a bit sad. I was arranging things, and I thought, “Wow, this is so busy. I’m going to ask the elder son to help me look up directions to our next place while I’m doing something else.”
Then Chris and Kevin, and Chris was like, “Oh, maybe we should ask why did it happen? Did we have some reaction or something? So, I asked Gemini, “Hey, we ate this chocolate pudding and this mango thing wrapped in a pancake. And, uh, and the dog died. Like, could there be a bad combination or like, some medication the dog is on?” Jamie didn’t give any of those answers. Jamie only said, “Well, if you, you can sue your employer for giving you the wrong type of food,” and started citing the laws. I was like, “No, we are not at the workplace. We are traveling.”
I looked at the map and we’re traveling like for ourselves, taking another place for like two days. I haven’t chosen those places because we have to stay there—it’s just so that we would go to different places or something. But at the end, there was a city of Riga. I think that one had a meaning because it was a port city, so we’ll have the ocean there, which will be cool.
We never saw the Baltic Sea when we went. Were we supposed to see the resorts? Really? I didn’t even know that. So we were in here thinking for two days, but we never saw the ocean. Oh, no. Wasn’t that restaurant we ate at with Nadia close to it? You have an ocean view? Wow, we never went at all. It’s because we ended up not going to any of the places we talked about originally. It was so cold. And didn’t we do laundry? It wasn’t that cold, but we were tired. We were tired, and I was on my period. We went to the laundry.
Anyways, so in this dream, we’re basically going through some middle cities. I think the second one was like Utrecht or something. And these are all geographically wrong because Utrecht is in… Wait, is it in World of Warcraft? Maybe it’s in World of Warcraft, but maybe it’s in like Scotland or Wales or something. And then Rica is not on that side of the ocean. Oh, I guess Finland is to the east of the Baltic Sea. But okay, well, it’s not that route, I guess, because it’s like in or something, which is not that far.
And the puppy slash son was like very tiny, like a hand size. So, at some point, Christine was like, “Oh, you know, it’s floating, so just wrap it in a plastic bag and put it in the trash.” Oh god. The other son was upset, like, “I didn’t get to see my dead brother.” Oh my god. We took off, I think. Oh my god, that’s how far I remember. That is a crazy story. It was a very small-street European city, and I was a little bit worried, like, “Is this going to be okay for Christine?” because she’s the only one driving. It was a mystery whether he was a dog or something.
