I had a dream that we were traveling in Japan and we were going in the wrong direciton. A bit scary

We were in the outskirts of Tokyo, on a train/regional bus. In the dream it was a bit of both.

I was going to different rooms.. of the train? And noticed some really old trinkets. In a corner, there was a 5.25″ floppy disk labeled “Norton Utilities 5.2”, handwritten, with instructions about what to type in the command prompt to run the program. And it looked recently used. I showed it to Christine in the dream and commented how Japan keeps really old things around, especially computer related. I took photos of the diskette.

We were planning to get off at a city, and from there walk to our hotel. This was in the outskirts of Tokyo, to the east. A bit like getting off in San Bernardino and walking.. to Temecula…? Maybe not walking. Not sure.

But then I was looking at our location on Google Maps and noticed that we were going south. But our destination city was to the northwest of us. Something was wrong. I rushedly talked to Christine and said that we should get off in this stop and maybe take the taxi to the northwest, so that we don’t get further away. Christine was worried that it was too long of a walk and that it was already 9pm, so we didnt want to be out for too long walking in the dark, in an area that was semi rural.

So we got off at the next regional bus terminal. And a dozen passengers also got off there. But instead of walking away from the terminal into the city, they walked into the entrance of a facility.. and each to their own cabins. Turns out that the terminal was the entrance of the hotel that we thought was far away. We were here!

Confused, I opened Google Maps on my phone again.. and noticed that the GPS did a quick jump from the southeast corner, which is where I thought we were, to the hotel location. The GPS had been glitching.

I think that was the extent of the dream. Scary lol
