I faxed a USPS support request on 9/14 http://bit.ly/cd5FU5 and they warned me with “3-5 day turnaround”. ok fine, i’ll wait. after weeks of calling, i’m through with the specialist who wants me to send everything over again. that’s fine. just know that i sent it 3 weeks ago. maybe you meant 3-5 week turnaround?

Don’t buy into this scheme. It’s a scam.

Dear Yongho Kim,
I am a developer with a project supported by the Los Angeles Housing Department and the City Counsel and the Mayor of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Corporation for Supportive Housing for low income to facilitate economic integration of single people, couples and families in temporary or long term situation called “The Hundred’s”, consisting of an apartment building with basic compact units (sofa bed, kitchen counter, working desk, closet, toilet and shower) with windows and balcony at very low rent price, in an extremely good spectrum, allowing the occupants to resources themselves in a safe environment while reorganizing their lives for a stable or better future in your area.
I need from you all information regarding your rent programs, I know you provide a certain amount of the rent for the people on the GR program, varying on each cases. If you can provide me more detailed information it would help us determine a realistic price range needed for existing cases.
The second request I am asking is, the information on the number of single people on the program, just as the number of couples and families as well if you can, or even better if it is disclosed in your annual report I would be more than glade to review it.
These informations are just to help determine the number of housing needed for single, couples and families which represent the three different categories of rooms and apartments dedicated to suite each personal case status of low income people.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

i dreamt there were zombies attacking us. it’s strange because this night i was well equipped, with both a heater running and the electric mat. so no cold air induced nightmares were supposed to pop up. well the zombies were attacking us, and at some point me and some other people had the role of a rescue team, so we smashed into the school office style room shooting guns, and killed some of the zombies. they were so fast, they were kind of like velociraptors from jurassic park. and slowly they morphed into them over time. there was a metallic cabinet on the right corner. it was semi-open. some of the team crew were approaching it, and i told them to hold off, and opened it from a distance by kicking the door. there was a strange saliva hanging inside the cabinet. then the zombiraptor dropped down from a space above that wasn’t visible from outside the cabinet, and assaulted a civilian to my left. i couldn’t shoot at it, as it was too close, and grabbed a hammer and hit the zombieraptor in the head while it was desecrating the civilian live. i managed to kill the zombieraptor but i think one of the last few blows also killed the civilian, as its head was right behind the zombieraptor’s hocico. then i woke up. phew, scary.

#nptech #n2la ok folks, most online tools are designed to be self-teachable. if all those on-the-site pointers and #RTFM are insufficient and you need a “training” before moving a finger on an online tool, maybe you just aren’t smart enough.

Unimpressed with the HTC EVO 4G tested at a Sprint store:
1. It’s slow in all the annoying spots that Droid 1 is slow at. Gallery, opening message and phonebook, camera. Even with the 2.2 update. One speed improvement: adding an app to the main screen.
2. It’s too wide for me to grasp. Can’t text while biking.
3. The phone suddenly lost all signal – the bars were there, but nothing was downloading (was trying to install Google Earth) The sprint tech dude said “ok, this will need a restart”, implying that it happens often.
One thing I really want is the Sense UI, not because it’s pretty, but because it has flawless Flickr integration. All Flickr solutions out there – both Free ones and many paid ones – suck big time. Come on folks, Picasa is long dead. Who uses that anymore?

Funny how in 2006 I came up with a rally outreach ROI sheet, and people thought it was too mechanical. Now an outside expert comes in with a similar idea and gets all the credibility.

Quick note for poor souls like myself seeking to make a SoCal->NorCal biking trip:
So yes, you can place your bike in the in-train bike rack, as well as the cargo area of the bus (contrary to what Amtrak customer reps will tell you) without boxing it. There are some elements of uncertainty, however.
Option 1: Carrying the bike with you
2. Go to the Los Angeles Union Station, and print your ticket from one of the vending machines using your confirmation code.
3. Await the train in line with your bike.
4. When boarding starts, seek the car with the bike racks on them. During my OAK->SAC trip, the car was the last one. Can’t remember position of the LAX->OAK one.. I think it was about the third from the bottom.

It’s great as a teaching tool. If you can’t learn on your first attempt about how much facebook fan pages suck, you’re led to it through a carefully designed learning track of repetition.

A funny thing at u.s. social justice orgs is the recent trend towards the personal.. strikingly similar to the politics of 진정성 in south korea. But in korea this approach was deemed a liberal failed agitational device that didn’t really bring about change in the consciousness of the people-passion without a clear objective. People who were looked at this approach with skepticism are calling for a return to politics proper and class rhetoric that addresses everyday concerns of poor people.

How-To
Following these instructions will allow your Nokia N95-4 8GB NAM to read 90% of Korean characters, including the Calendar interface, gMail app, web browser, fring, and twibble. If you *really* need to write Korean characters, you can do this by first tweeting in Korean from the web, then using twibble to RT yourself, and cut & paste the text wherever you needed it.
I learned this by googling around and testing a couple of combinations. My first attempt bricked the phone (the three-key combo wouldn’t bring it back to life), and I just returned it to A/S and requested a new phone (sorry, Dell..)
Some steps laid out below may be redundant, but I explored this in 2007, too long ago to remember which steps are necessary and which ones were unnecessary backup measures. Follow at your own risk.
- I attempted the below steps in 2008 successfully, then did a re-run on 10/8/09 and used the chance to write up this how-to. The second time also worked fine.
Prep
- Install Y-Browser http://www.drjukka.com/YBrowser.html
- Get rid of adtronic (Y-browser will still work)
- Create a sandbox folder in your computer with the following folder structure (to be copied to phone)
- C: Drive
- Data
- font-files
- (*.TTF font files here)
- font-files
- Data
- E: Drive
- Data
- FontRouter.ini copy & paste from http://pastebin.com/f7877d8b5
- disFontRouter.ini http://pastebin.com/f37d4ac86
- diffdirFontRouter.ini http://pastebin.com/f59bc87c0
- Fonts
- FontRouter.ini http://pastebin.com/f4e835bc0
- Data
Fonts
- extract malgun.ttf and malgunbd.ttf from your windows xp fonts folder
- copy & rename malgun.ttf as batang.ttf and gulim.ttf
Install FontRouter
- Get FontRouter.LT.for.v9.Build20071109.unsigned.sis (or whatever is the latest version) from http://code.google.com/p/fontrouter/
- Go to https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do
- Enter your IMEI, Email, and upload the FontRouter .sis file
- Follow the instructions – confirm request, wait about 5 min, and a downloadable sis will be provided
- The downloaded sis file will have the same name, but don’t be fooled! This one is signed & can be installed.
- From this point on, DON’T RESTART YOUR PHONE before the remaining steps are completed
- Install FontRouter. Ignore any warnings – this is developer, it’s not compatible with your phone, yadda yadda.
- Using Y-Browser, delete the C:DataFonts folder (It should only contain a file called “FontRouter.ini”)
Transfer Font Files & Settings
- Connect the N95-4 via USB Data Transfer mode
- Copy the sandbox folder to E:Data, including the TTF files that need to be copied into C:
- Disconnect
- Using Y-Browser, create C:Datafont-files and move the TTF files into there
Restart
- Make sure all steps were followed properly. (Improper handling can brick your phone or lock your mass drive out of data transfer mode forever) – check files are where they are supposed to be, etc
- Restart
Memos & Sandbox
- Program in Mass Storage, fonts in Phone memory (2-7-08)
- Program and fonts in mass storage (11-9-07)
